027 Part 1/10 of Anguish of Shri Sudhansu Ranjan Dedicated Professional Author, will be "AranNya ROdan" (Wailing in Forest). Nobody listens to it.

Shri Sudhansu Ranjan is an accomplished Journalist. But to my misfortune, I could not know about him till today. Today is a sudin for me, though it is a durdin as per Sanskrit Traditions (In Sanskrit, a durdin includes a overclouded , heavily drizzling day, preventing a person from doing anything), because I am luck enough to read an Article by Shri Sudhansu Ranjan, titled: "Will Indian VIPs ever learn to live simply, and for others?", in Print Edition of Deccan Chronicle, Vijayawada Edition. Here is a link, to those whose wish to read it: Click here to go https://www.deccanchronicle.com/opinion/op-ed/270918/will-indian-vips-ever-learn-to-live-simply-and-for-others.html. The Article is full of anecdotes, especially about Late Jawaharlal Nehru (First PM of India) and Late Babu Rajendra Prasad, (First President of India). Then, there was a reference to Late Ms. Sarojini Naidu's comment about the cost of keeping Gandhiji poor. There was a reference to simplicity of Late Abdul Kalam, Former President of India. Then, the Article carries a photograph of Mr. Jimmy Carter, Former President of U.S.A., with his wife, implying that the Retired Politicians in Euro-America live simpler unsung lives, while trying to contribute their might to the Society. There were also references to Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Late Karunanithi who have passed away recently. So far so good. My cudos to him.

Glimpses of what Shri Sudhansu Ranjan wrote, with my supportive comments

Quote from Articlecomments of ybrao a donkey, not intended to be imposed on others
Excerpts from what Shri Sudhansu Ranjan wrote in Deccan Chronicle: Jayaprakash Narayan felt that people should get a hint of socialism even from the personal lives of highly placed persons. True. Actions of Leaders demonstrate their true intentions, than their Twitter and Facebook Messages.
When Nehru joined the interim government on September 2, 1946 as the vice-president of the Viceroy’s Executive Council, he started living in the sprawling bungalow on 17, York Road (Motilal Nehru Marg). At that time, India was not free. Difficult to say whether Nehru had freedom to choose his Residence.
After Gandhi’s assassination, he shifted, for security reasons, to Teen Murti building which was even more palatial. Only Late Nehru could explain, if there are reasons other than "security reasons" for moving to another larger luxurious Palace.
In December 1947, JP advised Nehru that the Prime Minister of a poor country should not put up in such a big house. Late Lok Nayak JP was right. Yet, we must consider JP lucky in the sense that there were no trolling teams employed by Leaders to chase critics.
He reminded Nehru of his own memoir written after his (Nehru’s) tour of Russia that Lenin, the great leader of a country like Russia, lived in a small flat of two rooms with his wife and sister. According to our Hon. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, the World should learn from India. How can Indian Leaders learn from World Leaders?
Nehru replied that the PM was required to live in a big bungalow in order to keep up the dignity of the country. It was a belief of False Prestige. This erroneous belief might have arisen from his being Son of Motilal Nehru a very Wealthy Lawyer.
He added that two days back the ambassador of Russia came to meet him in a beautiful expensive car. We can't imitate Rich countries.
Not only that, even the two cars escorting it equally expensive. JP countered that Russia had prospered much in the preceding years but India was yet to attain that stage. True.
Therefore, the leaders of this country should live simply. On this, Nehru referred to Sarojini Naidu’s comment on Gandhi that lakhs of rupees of Birla was spent to maintain his simplicity. True. Sarojini Naidu's comment on lakhs of Rupees of Birla spent to maintain Gandhiji's simplicity, needs greater analytical study. I hope that Shri Sudhansu Ranjan will take it up, because he is more Competent than me.
Several years hence in a public speech JP lamented: But what was the result of that initial mistake is evident from the lavish style and belligerence of our present rulers. Late Nehru, India's First PM had set a very very bad precedent.
Mocking the crores of huts of the country all this is adding to the ‘pride’ of the country and safeguarding the ‘nation’s dignity.True.
